Sepuluh tahun sudah lewat dan Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) merasa bahwa ia sudah terbebas dari mimpi buruk yang ia alami sebelumnya. Ternyata, mimpi buruk itu masih mengikuti Sidney. Dan saat mimpi buruk itu kembali, tak ada pilihan buat Sidney selain menghadapinya.
Sebenarnya mimpi buruk bertopeng ini sudah menghantui Sidney sejak lebih dari sepuluh tahun yang lalu. Bukan sekedar mimpi buruk karena ada nyawa yang hilang karena mimpi menakutkan ini. Seorang pembunuh bertopeng seolah tak mau melepaskan para remaja SMA ini. Mimpi buruk ini juga tak berhenti sampai di sana karena bertahun setelahnya pun pembunuh bertopeng ini tetap berkeliaran.

Ten years have passed and Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) feels that he is free from the nightmare he had experienced before. Apparently, the nightmare still follow Sidney. And when that nightmare again, there was no choice but to deal for Sidney.
Actually, this nightmare has been haunting Sidney masked since more than ten years ago. Not just a nightmare because no lives are lost because of this frightening dream. A masked killer as if the teens would not let go of this high school. Nightmares also did not stop there because many were later masked killer is still at large.
