Sinopsis (Indonesian)
Film ini bercerita tentang empat orang anak bersaudara Peter (Skandar Keynes), Susan (Anna Popplewell) , Edmund (William Moseley) dan Lucy (Georgie Henley) di masa Perang Dunia II. Selama perang berlangsung mereka terpaksa harus mengungsi ke rumah Profesor Kirke (Jim Broadbent) yang terletak di sebuah desa terpencil. Rumah Profesor Kirke berupa sebuah puri yang sangat besar.
Suatu ketika saat mereka bermain petak umpet, tanpa sengaja Lucy bersembunyi dalam sebuah lemari baju yang ternyata merupakan sebuah portal ke dunia lain yaitu dunia Narnia. Saat Lucy menyibakkan baju-baju yang tergantung di lemari tersebut, di kejauhan Lucy melihat sebuah tiang lampu dan kemudian Lucypun masuk dan bertemu dengan Tumnus (James McAvoy), makhluk setengah manusia setengah kambing. Tumnus kemudian menjelaskan bahwa kini ia berada di Narnia, negeri yang "selalu mengalami musim dingin tetapi tidak pernah ada Natal" gara-gara ulah si Penyihir Putih, Jadis (Tilda Swinton). Negeri Narnia ditempati oleh binatang-binatang buas yang dapat berbicara, manusia kerdil, manusia berbadan kuda, dan raksasa yang dikutuk menjadi es oleh seorang penyihir jahat bernama Jadis (Tilda Swinton). Belakangan diketahui bahwa Jadis ingin menguasai Narnia untuk selama-lamanya dengan menurunkan kutukan salju abadi yang menyelimuti dunia itu.
Setelah beberapa jam, Lucy kembali ke ruang lemari pakaian dan anehnya saat ia keluar dari lemari tersebut, Peter baru saja selesai menghitung. Kemudian Lucy menceritakan pengalamannya tersebut yang tentu saja mereka tidak percaya.
Akhirnya mereka berempat masuk ke dalam lemari portal tersebut dan mengunjungi tempat Tumus. Namun mereka hanya mendapati rumah Tumnus dalam keadaaan berantakan dan mereka menemukan selebaran yang menjelaskan bahwa Tumnus ditangkap oleh polisi penyihir karena dianggap berkhianat telah menolong Lucy.
Mereka kemudian bertemu dengan berang-berang yang menjelaskan apa yang sebenarnya terjadi di Narnia. Kedatangan mereka berempat ternyata sudah diramalkan dalam sebuah syair kuno. Aslan (Liam Neeson), sang Singa penguasa tertinggi negeri Narnia, juga dikabarkan telah muncul kembali untuk menghadapi si penyihir.
Bernama dengan Aslan, mereka pun bersama-sama melawan kekuatan jahat Penyihir Putih Jadis. Akankah Peter, Susan, Edmund dan Lucy dapat menumpas Jadis dan menghilangkan kutukan itu dari Narnia?

Sinopsis (English)
This film tells the story of four children, brothers Peter (Skandar Keynes), Susan (Anna Popplewell), Edmund (William Moseley) and Lucy (Georgie Henley) during World War II. During the war they were forced to evacuate to the home of Professor Kirke (Jim Broadbent), which is located in a remote village. Professor Kirke's house in the form of a huge castle.
Once when they play hide and seek, Lucy accidentally hiding in a closet that turned out to be a portal to another world: The world of Narnia. When Lucy pushed the clothes hanging in the closet, in the distance, Lucy sees a lamppost and then Lucypun come in and meet with Tumnus (James McAvoy), a creature half-man half-goat. Tumnus then explained that now he is in Narnia, a country that "always suffered winter but Christmas never existed" because of the act of the White Witch, Jadis (Tilda Swinton). Narnia country occupied by wild animals that can talk, human dwarf, human-bodied horse, and a giant who was condemned to ice by an evil witch named Jadis (Tilda Swinton). Later known that Jadis would like Narnia forever by lowering curse eternal snow that blanketed the world.
After a few hours, Lucy returned to the wardrobe room and strangely as she came out of the closet, Peter had just finished counting. Then Lucy told her experience, which of course they do not believe.
Finally, four of them went into the closet portal and visit places Tumus. But they only found the house a mess and Tumnus in the circumstances they find flyers explaining that Tumnus was arrested by police witch because it was considered treason for helping Lucy.
They then met with the beaver who explains what really happened in Narnia. The arrival of the four of them were already foreseen in an ancient poem. Aslan (Liam Neeson), the Lion of the supreme ruler of the land of Narnia, also rumored to have come back to confront the magician.
Named by Aslan, they were together against the forces of evil White Witch Jadis. Will Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy to quell Jadis and remove the curse of Narnia?
